Hot & Cold
This weekend was certainly a weekend of extremes! Friday was my birthday and we had a blast with family coming over. It was a lot of fun. Saturday was family day part II - as we went over to the Dougherty's for brunch, hung out there, went to see "I Love You Man" and then went to Texas Roadhouse. It was fantastic. So with so much "positive" stuff, how could the weekend end up bad? Well, last Thursday Micauley had the stomach flu and while he rarely misses school, he stayed home that day. He seemed to be better on Friday and we all just moved on assuming it was better. It was better for him! Sunday morning I woke up feeling miserable, but still tried to get ready to bring Micauley to Driver's Ed. I never made it. I certainly don't want to go into too much detail, so I'll say one word and hopefully that'll clear it all up - "projectile". Needless to say the rest of the day was spent in bed, sipping water and taking Advil in the hopes that I could kill over the fever and not become dehydrated. This morning was better, though I'm still at about 60% - I assume it's because 15 year olds can recover from this stuff quicker - their bodies are still new! Friday and Saturday were awesome, but Sunday and today are Karma's way of balancing that - I just hope it's all better before tomorrow as I have a big hearing that starts then... more on that later.
